Privacy Policy

This policy covers the website kegema.de, including its English pages at kegema.de/en. Kegema is a registered trademark of Plotter-FIX GmbH. The German version of this policy is available at kegema.de/datenschutz.html; in case of doubt, the German wording prevails.

2. Access data and server log files

When you open this website, our hosting provider automatically records information in server log files: IP address, date and time, the file requested, the volume of data transferred, browser type and referrer URL. This serves the secure and uninterrupted operation of the website and is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The data is not combined with other sources and is deleted after a short period.

3. Cookies and browser storage

This website sets no cookies — neither strictly necessary ones nor analytics or advertising cookies. A cookie banner is therefore not required. A possible exception is the strictly necessary cookie of the Cloudflare security check (section 6).

Only the following is stored in your browser:

• Session storage (limited to the current browser tab): campaign and origin details of an advertisement or link (campaign parameters such as utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term and the referring domain), your current state in the CNC configurator and the CNC advisor, and the note that you closed the language hint.
• Local storage: your choice regarding the optional website analytics, under the key snx-web-analytics-v1, for no longer than 180 days (see section 5).

This information stays in your browser. It only leaves it when you submit an enquiry (section 4) or consent to website analytics (section 5). You can clear your browser storage at any time.

4. Enquiry form, configurator and contact

When you use the enquiry form, the CNC configurator or the CNC advisor, we process the details you enter in order to handle your enquiry. The following is transmitted:

• your name, e-mail address and message,
• your area of interest or the configuration you assembled, and how you came across us,
• a reference number, the time of the enquiry, the path of the page the enquiry was sent from, your entry page, the referring domain (the domain only, not the full address), the campaign parameters named in section 3, and whether you consented to website analytics.

The details are stored on our web server in a queue outside the public web directory that only we can access, and transmitted over an encrypted connection to our access-protected enquiry dashboard at dashboard.kegema.de, where they are processed further. Submitting the form and this transmission also run through the Cloudflare network described in section 6. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to, or performance of, a contract), otherwise our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed and no statutory retention periods apply.

To prevent abusive submissions we process a timestamp, a field that is invisible to you, and a cryptographic value derived from your IP address and a fifteen-minute time window. The IP address itself is not stored, and message texts are not evaluated for spam protection.

If you contact us by e-mail or telephone, we process the details you provide solely in order to deal with your request.

5. Optional website analytics

This website can use two separately selectable functions, both switched off by default: visit statistics and a masked session replay. Neither loads before you have given the relevant consent. Without consent the website remains fully usable.

The analysis runs on Matomo on the SNX-operated server analytics.snxcloud.de, self-hosted at dogado in Germany. Matomo sets no analytics cookies; IP addresses are shortened by two bytes before storage. Visit details are scheduled for deletion after 180 days, recordings after 14 days. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. “Do Not Track” and “Global Privacy Control” are respected.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via “Website analytics” in the page footer. Full details — what is recorded, how it is masked, retention periods and campaign parameters — are set out on the website analytics privacy page, which carries both a German and an English version of that information.

6. Protection and delivery through Cloudflare

To protect against attacks and to deliver the site reliably, traffic to this website runs through the network of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Cloudflare processes your IP address and technical details of the request, such as the address requested, browser details and the time. Content you send to this website, for example the details in the enquiry form, also passes through this network and is technically processed there. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the secure and uninterrupted operation of the website.

During normal use Cloudflare sets no cookies on this website. If the network rates a request as suspicious, a security check may appear and a strictly necessary cookie may be set for it.

For content passing through the network, Cloudflare acts as a processor under a data processing agreement. For data that Cloudflare uses to secure and improve its services, Cloudflare may be a controller in its own right. Processing in the USA is possible. According to its own statements, Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR); standard contractual clauses apply as a fallback (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR). 7. No further external services

Fonts, images, videos, stylesheets and scripts on this website are stored on our own server and delivered through Cloudflare (section 6). We embed no Google Fonts, no map services, no video platforms, no advertising networks and no conversion tracking. Apart from Cloudflare, the only connection to another server is the analytics server named in section 5, and only after your consent.

8. Recipients

Access to data is granted to our hosting provider for the operation of the website and the enquiry dashboard, and to SNX for the operation of the analytics server — in each case as processors and on servers in Germany. Cloudflare is added as described in section 6; a transfer to third countries is possible only within the framework set out there. Beyond this we pass on your data only where we are legally obliged to do so.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21). You may withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future.

A message to [email protected] is enough for access, erasure and withdrawal. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority; the competent authority for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW).
